There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the Question.
Marks scored by candidates in Computer Based Examination will be normalized by using the formula published by the Commission through Notice No: 1-1/2018-P&P-I dated 07- 02-2019 and such normalized scores will be used to determine final merit and cut-off marks.
Tentative Answer Keys of Paper-I will be placed on the Commission‟s website after the Examination. Candidates may go through the Answer Keys and submit representations, if any, within the time limit given by the Commission through on-line modality only, on payment of Rs 100/- per question which is non-refundable. Any representation regarding Answer Keys received within the time limit fixed by the Commission at the time of uploading of the Answer Keys will be scrutinized before finalizing the Answer Keys and the decision of the Commission in this regard will be final. No representation regarding Answer Keys shall be entertained later.
The schedule of examination indicated in the Notice is tentative. Any change in the schedule of examination will be informed to the candidates only through the website of the Commission.
There shall be no provision for re-evaluation/ re-checking of the scores. No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.
In Paper-II, candidates must write their correct Roll Number at the prescribed places on the cover page of the Answer Book. Candidates must also affix signature and Left-hand Thumb Impression in the relevant columns in the Answer Book. Answer Books not bearing Roll Number, Signature and Left-hand Thumb Impression shall be awarded zero marks.
Candidates are strictly advised not to write any personal identity e.g. name, roll number, mobile number, address, etc inside the Answer Book (Paper-II) which will be taken Unfair Means(UFM). The candidates who fail to adhere to these instructions will be awarded zero marks even if marks are awarded during the evaluation process.

Exam Pattern :
The examination consists of two papers: Paper-I and Paper-II.
Paper-I is a computer based examination with 200 objective multiple choice questions. It has four sections: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. Each section has 50 questions and 50 marks. The total duration of Paper-I is 2 hours.
Paper-II is also a computer based examination with 200 objective multiple choice questions. It has only one section: English Language and Comprehension. The total duration of Paper-II is 2 hours.
There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in both papers.
The questions will be set in Hindi and English in Parts-I, II and III of Paper-I. The questions in Paper-II will be set in English only.
The candidates who qualify in Paper-I will be eligible to appear in PST/PET and then in Paper-II. The final selection will be based on the performance of candidates in Paper-I and Paper-II and the preference of posts and forces exercised by them.

Skill Test in Stenography:
The candidates who are shortlisted in the Computer Based Examination will be required to appear in the Skill Test for Stenography. The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi (as opted by the candidates in the online Application Form) at the speed of 100 words per minute (w.p.m.) for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘D’. The matter will have to be transcribed on computer. The transcription time is as follows:

Candidates who opt to take the Stenography Test in Hindi will be required to learn English Stenography and vice versa after their appointment, failing which their probation may not be cleared by appointing departments / Organizations. The Skill Test will be held at the Commission’s Regional Offices or at other Centre(s) as may be decided by the Commission.

SSC MTS (Staff Selection Commission Multi-Tasking Staff) examination is conducted by SSC to fill the posts of Peon, Draftsman, Mali, Jamadar and other posts in government ministries and offices. Here are the main details about SSC MTS:
Selection Process:
The examination will consist of Computer Based Examination, Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST) (only for the post of Havildar).
The Computer Based Examination will be conducted in two sessions: Session-I and Session-II, on the same day and it will be mandatory to appear in both the sessions. Failure to attempt any session will disqualify the candidate.
Session-I 45 minutes (60 minutes): Numerical and Mathematical Ability 20 questions/60 marks

Scheme of Examination:
The examination will consist of a Computer Based Examination, Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) (only for the post of Havaldar).
The Computer Based Examination will be conducted in Hindi, English and in 13 regional languages viz. (i) Assamese, (ii) Bengali, (iii) Gujarati, (iv) Kannada, (v) Konkani, (vi) Malayalam, (vii) Manipuri, (viii) Marathi, (ix) Odia, (x) Punjabi, (xi) Tamil, (xii) Telugu and (xiii) Urdu
The schedule of examinations indicated in the Notice is tentative. Any change in the schedule of examinations will be informed to candidates only through the website of the Commission.
There shall be no provision for re-evaluation/ re-checking of the scores. No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.
In case of any difference/ discrepancy/ dispute in the Questions between English and the opted language, the content of English version shall prevail.

Computer Based Examination will be conducted in two Sessions: Session-I and Session-II, on the same day and both the Sessions will be mandatory to be attempted. Not attempting any session will disqualify the candidate.
The candidates will get 45 Minutes to complete SessionI. On completion of 45 Minutes, Session-I will get automatically closed.
Immediately after completion of Session-I, Session-II will start. Session-II will also be for 45 Minutes and immediately on completion of 45 Minutes, Session-II and Computer Based Examination will come to an end.
Computer Based Examination will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions. The questions will be set in English, Hindi, and in 13 regional languages for Session-I and the General Awareness Section of Session-II.
There will be no negative marking in Session-I. In Session-II, there will be negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.
Marks scored by candidates in Computer Based Examination, if conducted in multiple shifts, will be normalized by using the formula published by the Commission through Notice No: 1-1/2018-P&P-I dated 07-02-2019 and such normalized scores will be used to determine final merit and cut-off marks.
Tentative Answer Keys of the Computer Based Examination will be placed on the website of the Commission after the Examination. Candidates may go through the Answer Keys and submit online representations, if any, within the time limit given by the Commission, on payment of Rs 100/- per question, which is non-refundable. Representations received through any other mode e.g. letter, application, email, etc. will not be entertained. Representations regarding the Answer Keys will be scrutinized before finalizing the Answer Keys and the decision of the Commission in this regard will be final.

A women candidate, who as a result of tests is found to be pregnant of 12 weeks standing or over, shall be declared temporarily unfit and her candidature will be held in abeyance until the confinement is over. Vacancies against temporary unfit candidates will be kept unfilled in the final result. Such female candidates will be re-examined for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) six weeks after the date of confinement, subject to the production of medical certificate of fitness from a registered medical practitioner. If found fit, they may be appointed against the vacancies kept reserved for and allowed the benefit of seniority in accordance with the instructions of the government, as amended from time to time.

The female candidates, who are either pregnant, or gave birth to a baby or had miscarriage at the time of PE&MT, may not be allowed to participate in Physical Endurance Test and shall be declared temporarily unfit until the confinement is over. Till then result of such cases may be kept in a sealed cover and the vacancies will be kept in reserve. She will be re-examined for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) six weeks after the expiry of confinement, subject to the production of medical certificate of fitness from a registered medical practitioner. The confinement period will be i) 6 month from the date of delivery of baby, ii) 45 days from the date of miscarriage. If she is declared qualified during PE&MT, her result will be declared as per merit. She will be appointed to the post kept reserved for and allowed the benefit of seniority in accordance with the instructions of the government, as amended from time to time.
Standard of Physical Measurement for Female candidates:
Physical Measurement Test will be taken only of those candidates who qualify the Physical Endurance Tests. Standard of Physical Measurements are as follows:
Height: Minimum 157 cm, relaxable by:
2 cm for residents of Hill areas i.e. Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to states of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunanchal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh. Relaxation in height and chest (as the case may be) as mentioned above will be permissible, only to those candidates, who seek relaxation as per his/her category under the relevant column of Online Application Form and on production of requisite certificate at the time of PE&MT.
The candidates who are declared not qualified in Physical Standards, i.e. height and chest may prefer an appeal on same day, if they so desire, to the Appellate Authority nominated for the Centre through Presiding Officer (PO). The decision of the Appellate Authority will be final and no further appeal or representation in this regard will be entertained thereafter. There is no appeal in Physical Endurance Test.
Conduct of PE&MT and Medical Examination will be the sole responsibility of Delhi Police. The Commission will not entertain any representation/ appeal/ RTI Applications/ CPGRAMs against the decision of PE&MT and Medical Examination.
Medical Standard:
The candidates should be in sound state of health, free from defect/ deformity/ disease, vision 6/12 without glasses both eyes, free from colour blindness and without any correction like wearing glasses or surgery of any kind to improve visual acuity. Free from defect, deformity or disease likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties. No relaxation is allowed/ permissible to any category of candidates on this count.
Tattoos on various parts of body are permissible as per the details given below:
Content - Tattoos depicting religious symbol or figure and the name, as followed in Indian Army, shall be permitted.
Location – Tattoos marked on traditional sites of the body like inner aspect of forearm, but only left forearm, being non saluting limb or dorsum of the hands shall be allowed.

Candidates may go through the Answer Keys and submit online representations, if any, within the stipulated time limit on payment of Rs 100/- per question. Representations received through any other mode e.g. letter, application, email, etc. will not be entertained. Representations regarding the Answer Keys will be scrutinized before finalizing the Answer Keys and the decision of the Commission in this regard will be final.
The questions in the Computer Based Examination will be of Matriculation level.
Walk-through video/ Mock Test on the Computer Based Examination has been provided on the website of the Commission in the ‘Candidate’s Corner’ Section.
Candidates are not permitted to use calculators and other electronic gadgets. They should not, therefore, bring the same inside the Examination Hall/ Lab.
