Computer Based Exam (Paper 1)

Exam Pattern :

  • The examination consists of two papers: Paper-I and Paper-II.

  • Paper-I is a computer based examination with 200 objective multiple choice questions. It has four sections: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. Each section has 50 questions and 50 marks. The total duration of Paper-I is 2 hours.

  • Paper-II is also a computer based examination with 200 objective multiple choice questions. It has only one section: English Language and Comprehension. The total duration of Paper-II is 2 hours.

  • There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in both papers.

  • The questions will be set in Hindi and English in Parts-I, II and III of Paper-I. The questions in Paper-II will be set in English only.

  • The candidates who qualify in Paper-I will be eligible to appear in PST/PET and then in Paper-II. The final selection will be based on the performance of candidates in Paper-I and Paper-II and the preference of posts and forces exercised by them.
