1. Aga Khan :  

Co-founder of Muslim League and served as its President (1906-1913), supported modern education for Indian muslims and successfully pressed for separate electorate. 

3. Sir Ardeshir Dalal : 

Belonged to the house of Tata, was one of the industrialist who proposed the 'Bombay Plan" to modernize India in the course of 15 years. 

5. Banda Bahadur (1670-1716) : 

After Guru Gobind Singh, Banda Bahadur organized sikh attacks on Mughals to sustain sikh rule in and around Punjab. In 1715 Farrukh Siyar's army defeated and executed him. 

6. Brigadier Reh Dyer-(1864-1927) : 

Became notorious for ordering firing on unarmed people at Jallianwallah bagh in Amritsar. He was shot dead by Udham Singh to avenge the massacre. 

7. Charu Mazumdar (1918-1972) : 

A communist and a chief ideologue of a 'new democratic revolution' in India based on armed struggles by the poor and landless. he was the inspirational leader of naxalism. 

9. David Octerlony : 

Faught against marathas and led the only successful campaign of the Anglo-Nepal war, credited with the bringing of Gorkha soldiers into Indian army. 10. Edwin Lutyens He designed New Delhi as the capital of British India as its chief architect. 

13. Sir Harcourt Butler (1869-1938) : 

Headed the "Indian States Committee" to enquire into the relations between Indian states and British Government in India. Simon Commission endorsed the findings of Butler committee. 

15. John Simon : 

He was the Chairman of the commission appointed by the British Parliament to ascertain the success of 1919 reforms and to suggest the course of future reforms in governance of India. 

17. James Wilson : 

The 1st finance member in the Executive Council of the Viceroy of India who presented the 1st Budget of India in 1860. 

18. Sawai Jai Singh : 

He was the king of Amber during the 18th century, a great builder, built the modern city of Jaipur. He was interested in astronomy, and constructed Jantar Mantar at Delhi, Benaras, Mathura, Jaipur and Ujjain. 

19. Lord Pethwick Lawrence : 

He championed for an early date for India's independence as the Secretary of State in Atlee's Cabinet. He came to India as a member of the Cabinet Mission (1946). 

20. Mother Teresa (1910-1997) : 

Served suffering humanity without discrimination of caste, creed or nationality and has been called "one of the greatest social workers of all times". She was awarded Nobel prize for Peace and 'Bharat Ratna;.
